Add an animated signature to Missive

Missive recommends exactly what BylineSig produces: an HTML signature that points at a hosted image, rather than an image pasted into the editor.

Steps

  1. Design your signature on BylineSig, then click Copy HTML.
  2. In Missive, open Settings, then Signatures.
  3. Create a signature and switch to the HTML editor.
  4. Paste the HTML and save.
  5. Link the signature to the alias you send from, so it is used by default.

Keep it on replies

Set Insert in to All emails. With the other option, the reply signature is rich text only and HTML is used for the first email in a conversation.

Do not paste or drag the image into the rich-text editor. Missive embeds it, and it can then reach recipients as an attachment.

These steps follow Missive Docs: Setting up email signatures, last checked October 2026. Menus move; if yours looks different, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix the guide.
