Add an animated signature to Apple Mail

Apple Mail supports rich HTML signatures — there's one font setting worth unchecking so it doesn't override your design.

  1. Design your signature on BylineSig, then click Copy for Gmail — the same rich copy works in Apple Mail.
  2. Open Mail → Settings (or Mail → Preferences on older macOS) → Signatures.
  3. Select the account you want the signature on, then click the + to create a new one.
  4. Click into the signature editor box and paste with ⌘ + V.
  5. Important: uncheck "Always match my default message font" — if left checked, Apple Mail overrides your signature's typography with your default compose font.

iPhone / iPad

iOS Mail's signature editor is plain-text only and doesn't support pasting rich HTML or images. Set your signature up on Mac (above) — it syncs to iOS automatically if you use the same iCloud/IMAP account across devices.
