Architect email signatures that look as considered as your drawings
Clients, consultants and contractors all read your email before they read your drawings. A signature with your name, title, practice and portfolio link, set with some care, tells them how you work.

Real output from the BylineSig engine, shown with example names. Each is an animated GIF inside email-safe HTML, the same thing you paste into your mail client.
Restrained by default
Your name appears once and then holds still. Ask for “monochrome, lots of space, thin rule” and the palette, type and motion are designed to that sentence.
Credentials in the role line
AIA, RIBA, a registration number or LEED AP go after your title in the role line, so they render as part of the signature.
Portfolio one tap away
Your website and Instagram show as small icon links, not as raw URLs.
What to put in an architect’s signature
- Your name and title: “Principal”, “Project Architect”, “Architectural Designer”.
- Credentials after the title, such as AIA, RIBA or NCARB, and your registration number if your board or your practice asks for it.
- Practice name, linked to the site.
- A direct phone number, for the calls that come from site.
- A link to your portfolio, plus Instagram if you post work there.
- Your practice logo, if it has one worth showing (Pro).
- Leave out project photos and award banners. They belong on the site the link goes to.
How it works
- Enter your details. Name and role, plus whichever of company, email, phone and links you want shown.
- Describe the feel. One sentence is enough. Pick a ready-made style instead if you prefer.
- Copy and paste. Install it in Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail in under a minute. We host the animation.
Questions
What should an architect’s email signature include?
Your name, title, credentials, practice name, a direct phone number and a link to your portfolio. Add LinkedIn or Instagram if you keep them current. Four or five lines is enough.
Can I call myself an architect in my signature before I am licensed?
In many places the title is restricted to people on the register, including US states and the UK. If you are not yet registered, a title such as “Architectural Designer” or “Architectural Assistant” is the usual choice. Check your own board’s rules; BylineSig prints whatever you type in the role line.
Can the whole practice use the same design?
Each person makes their own signature today, and describing the same feel gives a matching look. A Teams plan with brand-locked, centrally managed signatures is on a waitlist and not available yet.
Is there a Houzz, Pinterest or Behance icon?
Not a dedicated one. The icons are LinkedIn, GitHub, X, YouTube, Instagram and website, plus one custom link, which shows with a generic link icon. Use the custom link for any other profile.
